Chapter 17 The Night Before The Court.
Leina returned to captain's cabin in the PE ship.Leela sat on bed and cryed, when Leina came she slightly calmed down.
Leina: Here you are, Leina! I found some napkins for you.
Leela: Thank you, Leela.
Leela took one napkin and started to claene tears from her face. Suddenly Leela's eye caught Leina's sight. Leina's sight was very deep and faraway.Leina stood in the corner, back to the wall, she was silent and her eye slowly moved up and down.
Leela: Leela, are you ok?
Leina: What?...Oh..I'm fine..I..I..I just been thinking.
Leela: About what?
Leina: About F.. I mean... nothing important...
Leela: Are you sure? You look very thoughtful.
Leina: I'm fine, I thought maybe you would like to stay with me tonight.
Leela sayed nothing just noded.When Leela and Leina left the ship and started to walk towards the exit, but suddenly they heard Fry's voice. Leela and Leina turn about and saw Fry and Wolfgan runing towards them.
Fry: Leela, Leina we were looking for you, everywhere.Where were you two?
Leina: Sorry for disappear, but we needed some time think.Also, I invited Leina to stay with me tonight.
Fry: I understand.
Fry wanted to say something more, but Leina understood what he wanted to say and spoked first.
Leina: Don't wory about tomorrow. You and Wolfgan haven’t done anything wrong, and the court will prove it.Leina and I will be there and we'll support you two. But now you two should have a good night.
Fry: Thank you, Leela.
Leina smiled and kissed Fry's cheek. After that Fry got very confused, he just stood puzzled for a few seconds, then slightly smiled and walked out through the door.Wolfgan followed Fry through the door, though he was even more confused then Fry. Once they both left, Leela lightly punched Leina in shoulder.
Leina: Ouch, what for?
Leela: I kissed Fry!
Leela: Whait? What? Oh...whoops...
Then Leela and Leina burst out laughing and cryed with laughter.
Leina: Sorry, Leina.
Leela: It's ok, but don't try anything else.
Leina: Ok, I won’t try.Just wait a sec, I'll take my, I mean your jacket from my/your locker and then we can go home, ok?
Leela noded.But when Leina returned with Leela's jacket, Leela was already gone.Before Leina was able to call Leina's name, Leela heard sounds like thunder, coming from the lab. Leina quickly ran to the lab and saw how Leela smashing Professor's machine with a iron rod.Leina quickly took iron rod from Leela.
Leina: (angry)What are you doing?
Leela: (with tears in her eye)All this is the fault of this damn machine.
Leela strongly punched the machine, with her bare fist. Leela's fist quite deeply pierced the maschine, but when she tryed to pull out her hand, the wires within the maschine tangled and Leela couldn’t pull out her hand.
Leela: Leela, please help.
Leina just angrily sighed, and break down a piece of control board. Many sparks flew out from broken wires, but Leina carefuly avoid it and started to untangling Leela's hand.
Leina: Don't squirm, Leina.
Leela: (upset)I'm sorry, Leela.
Leina: Don't blame yourself, Leina.You was blinded by despair...but all going to be fine.The last wire and...
Leela/Leina: AAAAAA........
Both Leela and Leina fell unconscious on the floor with light burns on their hands. Only the next day, shortly before midday Leina regain consciousness.
Leina: AAAaa.... I can still feel the electric shock in my wings.Leela? Leela! Wake up!
Chapter 18 The Court.
Leina tryed to wake up Leela, but she lain on the floor and unmoved. Leina bursted into tears and tightly huged Leela.
Leina: Don't die, Leela! All my life, I searched for you, don't leave me now! Don't die.
Silent Leela's moan, restored hope to Leina. Leela slowly open her eye and weakly spoken.
Leela: OW!!....my head sores terribly...Aaa and my arm...burns.Leina, what happened?
Leina: The Professor's machine shocked us.Luckily it returned our minds back to our bodys, but your arm looks badly... wait here, I'll find first-aid kit.
Leela sat on the floor and took a good look at her arm. Meanwhile Leina searched every part of the lab for first-aid kit.
Leela: Fortunately we're still alive.Because that electric shock was real strong, it even burned out this thing on my wrist. Suddenly Leela ceased talking, springed to her feet and started to searched for something on the walls.
Leina: Leela, what happened?
Leela: Fry...Wolfgan... the court....we're late!
It was the the middle of the court and both Fry and Wolfgan sat in defendant seats, whit Milton and Lee by there side.Bender, Professor, Amy,Hermes and Zoidberg sat in jury seats, meanwhile Engar giving his testimony.Fry and Wolfgan was constantly taking a glance at the door.Once Engar gave his testimony, the judge called Zapp to give his testimony and his face had many compound wounds.
Zapp: I'm Zapp Brannigan and I say that those two mens attacked me without reason. There are no evidence that I done anything to their pets, they just trying to frame me up.And there is a plenty of evidence that they attacked me.
Judge: Mr Fry and Mr Wolfgan, can you deny Zapp Brannigan's words?
Wolfgan: Yes, Zapp Brannigan violated gun directions for use...
Fry: And heavily wounded our pets!
Judge: Mr Fry can you prove Mr Engar's testimony that Zapp Brannigan wounded your pet to death?
Fry: I can't, my pet managed to survived that injury.
Judge: Can you then show scar left by Zapp Brannigan's gun?
Fry: (sadly)I can't, the wound totally healed up.
Zapp: That just prove what I said, they trying to frame me up. There are neither prove nor witness and that means that they are lying!
Judge: I see that there is no need of continue this trial. Depending on all circumstance I find the defendants Philip. J. Fry and Wolfgan Blackmoon guilty.
Everybody gasped and uproar spread in the courtroom.
Judge: (hammering) Order!Order in the courtroom!I sentence you two to jail, two years in medium security prison.
Guard(whispers): But your honor, since you started to work here, all our prisons are full.
Judge: What about insane asylums?
Guard: Also full.
Zapp: I have an idea, why don't your honor place them under my orders?
Judge: So be it, Fry and Wolfgan must serve to Zapp Brannigan two years or less if Zapp Brannigan decides that. Verdict is final, the case is closed!
Zapp: (to Fry and Wolfgan)You heard verdict, you don't have time to pack your things, therefore
give your dirty beasts to your friends and say goodbye to them. Both Milton and Lee angrily snarl to Zapp, then two guards escorted Fry and Wolfgan next to Bender, Professor, Amy, Hermes, Engar and Zoidberg.
Fry gave Milton to Amy and Wolfgan gave Lee to Engar.Then Bender huged Fry.
Bender: I won’t forget you buddy, unless I'll drink ten cans of beer.
Fry: I'll miss you too.And Amy ask Leela to take care of Milton. And don't let Professor close to him.
Professor: (angry)Sure, blame the Professor...You found a few boxes with your or your pet's organs wrote on it and you start to distrust me.
And if you kill anyone, don't forget to...
Fry: Eat their hearts?
Professor: (angry)No, bring them to me. I want their courage. Their sweet, tasty courage....
Zapp: Enough chit chats, let’s go!
Zapp walked out through the small door not far off Judge's stand and guards lead Both Fry and Wolfgan after him. Soon after that Bender, Professor, Amy, Hermes, Engar and Zoidberg left the courtroom and saw Leela and Leina in hallway. Both Leela and Leina had bandaged up hands, they were tired of runing and breathed heavily.
Leela: What happened? Where is Fry and Wolfgan?
Amy: Judge placed them under Zapp's orders and he took them out to somewhere.Fry also asked you to take care of Milton.And what happened to you two?
Zoidberg: And what smells here so good?
Leina: (scared/disgusted)Stay away from my, crab!
Leela: (confused)What? Zapp...but..how?..why?
Leela tryed make a call to Fry, Wolfgan, Zapp or Kif, but vain.
During blizzard, Fry and Wolfgan walked through endless ice desert and only a icy mountain could be seen at a distance. Their bouth foots deeply sank into snow and icy winds were freezing them to the core. They both heard strange sound and looked back. They started tu run, but narrow wave of snow quickly came up with them and Wolfgan disappeared under the snow.Fry managed to run a few metres more, but he disappeared under the snow, as well. Leina waked up screaming in the middle of night at Leela's apartment. Leela quick appeared in the room, where Leina was sleeping.
Leela: Calm down, you just had a nightmare?
Leina looked at Wolfgan's pendant in her palm.
Leina: That wasn't a nightmare.
Chapter 19 The Frostbite.
Leina: (scared)That horrible dream was so realistic... Can it? NO...NO... It can't be true...
Leela: Calm down, that was just a nightmare.You don't need to fear for anything, that was just a very bad dream.
Leina: (scared)That was like..like a vision, I saw how they walked through endless ice desert and...and...something draged them both under the snow...
After Leina end that sentence she burst into tears and started to shiver. Leela was scared to see Leina like that.
Leela: Don't fear, Leina.I'll try to make a call to Kif, again.Then he'll prove to you that everything is fine and that there is nothing to fear.
Leela a couple of times pushed buttons on that thing on her wrist, but it was broken. Slowly Leina tuck away her hand behind pillow, drew a small, white mobile phone and gave it to Leela. When Leina lowered her hand, she saw Milton and Lee in front of herself. Milton and Leecuddle upto Leina and started to purr quietly. Leina embraced Lee and whispered "things will come right for them".Lee gave Leina the nod, Leina slightly smiled.
Leina: (to Lee) Did you just, nod?
Lee made funny woof like sound and waged his tail.
Leina: (to Lee)I'm mistaken, you can't understand what I'm saying.
Suddenly Leela's voice caught Leina's attention.Apparently Leela managed to call to Kif, because Leina heard alien's voice, but she couldn't understand anything what he said.Whit every alien's word Leela got angrier and angrier, but after the last few words she calm down. Then Leela slowly turned to Leina and spoken.
Leela: I have bad and good news. The good news is that Zapp will discharge Fry and Wolfgan if they'll survise one day.
Leina: And what the bad news?
Leela: Zapp was sent into a mision to search for dark matter in some ice world known as Icy Wargrolf 16, and Zapp droped them off far from his base.
Leina: That means that what I saw in my dream was true?
Leela: Probability, but I think that they might to fell in ice airhole and that they are still alive.
Leina: They are alive, I know it. But we must hurry up to help them.
Leela: Pack your things, we’re we are leaving for the Icy Wargrolf 16!
Chapter 20 Behind bars.
Fry fell to the ground, banged his head on the floor and quietly yelled "ow". He slowly raised to his feet, looked around and flinched. In half-light Fry saw low stone bed, from which he fell off, when he looked to the sides of place he was in he saw rugged walls of solid rock, whit many unusual, small and large rock crystals that gleamd with soft light. Over the place Fry saw Wolfgan, he sat in large stone chair and looked to the ceiling, coated whit small colourful crystals.Fry noticed odd red and white fruit that Wolfgan was eating up, that fruit was very large, hard, crunchy and heartform. Wolfgan instantly sprang to his feet, when he noticed that Fry waked up.
Wolfgan: Fry, how are you? You slept like a log, since they brought us in here.
Fry: I feel okay, but where are we and who brought us in here?
Wolfgan: I don’t know exactly, but It was strange stone creatures. They caged us in, in this cave, left some water and this fruitlike whatever, want some?
Fry: No, thanks. What stone creatures?
Wolfgan: (pointing at only exit from that cave) Those, stone creatures.
Fry looked where Wolfgan was pointing and was stunned as well as slightly frightened by the sight that he saw. Behind the crystal poles that blocked off exit from that cave, stood fearsome stone creature. The creature was above two metre of high, he stood on two legs and had two arms, but it looked more like a stone than a living creature. He wore strange half petrified clothing, connected with rock crystals, creature had dark violet rocklike skin and bank of white crystals instead of hair and beard. Fry noticed that living being's eyes was similar to gemstone, and something moeved in them as the creature looked to different directions.Whit six finger on one hand the creature firmly hold unusual lance with red crystal instead of head and whit marble pole instead of shaft. Fry was even more stunned when he saw a glorious view behind the creature. Near the exit was small practice ground where a small party of stone creatures was training with lances. Narrow stone bridge led from the practice ground near to gigantic device, that device stood in the middle of lava lake. That moment Fry realized that he and Wolfgan were trapped in the active extinct volcano. Suddenly Fry's contemplations was interrupted by loud outcry of that stone creature, though that outcry was more similar to noises of rock avalanche or to noise of cracking and crumbling rocks. After outcry the stone creature left and the same moment Fry started to panic.
Fry: There...there must be the second exit.The crystal poles!!! You could cut them off with your claw, and and then we could escape!
Wolfgan: Don't panic, Fry. I did that two an hours ago and I just got tired. Also if we would escape from here, where would we go? Into endless ice desert, freeze to death? No, if we want to return to the Earth we need help and only these stone creatures can help us now. Zapp Brannigan won’t help us, after all it's he who tryed to kill us.
Fry: (angry)That moron, I can't believe it, he tryed that, again!
Wolfgan: "Again"?
Fry: It's a long story.
Wolfgan: And we’ve get bags of time...
The chat between Fry and Wolfgan was rudely interrupted by outcry of another stone creature, but he was different from other stone creatures. He wore completely white half petrified clothing whit crystal bracelets and many necklaces encrusted with jewels. That creature's skin was emblazoned with mysterious symbols and inscriptions. The creature looked at both Fry wolfgan, then loudly cryed something in that noiselike language, again.
Fry: (confused and scared)What, do you want? I don't understand your language.
The creature slightly steped back, and looked very disturbed. Suddenly that creature started to talk English, though his words was hardly understandable.
Creature: You Darfargs, evil beings that steal a home planet, Spheron 1 from living balls. The living balls visit town, many moons ago.Balls tell, evil beings Darfargs that call themselves humans, declare war and steal a home planet. Now Darfargs threatening us, steal black star's tears.
Fry: We don't want war.We don't know what other humans are doing on you planet.
Wolfgan: Bad man abandoned us here to die.We don't even know what "black star's tears" is.
Fry: We just want to go back home. Back to our familys and friens.
Creature: Urra-Agas see you tell truth in you eyes, Urra-Agas sense honesty in your words, but Urra-Agas can't let you go. Urra-Agas sence you good, but other humans bad humans steal black star's tears.Urra-Agas's people need black star's tears, no black star's tears Gafgan no work,Gafgan no work Urra-Agas's people starve.
Fry: Your name is Urra-Agas, right? We can make bad humans leave, but you must let us go.
Urra-Agas: Yes name Urra-Agas the next moon take an oath of earth be shaman, but Urra-Agas can't let humans go, the shamans can let humans go, Urra-Agas no shaman. Urra-Agas speak for good humans, but the shamans no trust humans.
Wolfgan: We truly can make bad humans leave, but we must know what is "black star's tears".
Urra-Agas: Black star's tears be small black round stone, very heavy and very powerful, make the fire lake no sleep and Farggs grow on the red trees, all year.Urra-Agas's grandfather was great shaman, almost century ago when the black star's tears shine and grandfather see vision build up Gafgan the forge, we melt black star's tears in forge, the fire lake no sleep. The fire lake no sleep Farggs grow and Urra-Agas's no people starve, no travel.No travel, no(angrily) Scards.
Fry: The black star's tears must be a Dark matter.
Wolfgan: Yeah, that explains why Zapp came here. Urra-Agas, these "Farggs" you spoke about, are those large fruits, right? But who are those Scards?
After the last word of Wolfgan, Urra-Agas frowned.
Urra-Agas: Yes, you call them so, but Urra-Agas no tell about (angrily)Scards.Urra-Agas must go, now.
Urra-Agas must see shamans.
Urra-Agas quickly walked off and the previous stone craeture with the srange lance,returned to stand guard by the cave.
