Ich sprache Deutsch ein Bisschen.

I studied German when I was in elementary school, a long time ago. For several years I prefer to learn English and perform my skills because it's more universal than German.

I'm Italian. After the first ten pages I skipped ahead — is anybody else beside me Italian?

City or state?  I was born in the Bronx and grew up on the west side of the Tappan Zee.

Born East-Bay Cali...

Cool!  I was stationed in Alameda from early '86 to late '89 aboard USS Carl Vinson.  Love visiting all of SF Bay and still have friends there from my Navy days.

I live in Canada but have a Hungarian background.  My father grew up in Hungary and so did my mother's parents.  I know a bit of Magyar (Hungarian language).  I'm going to vacation in Hungary for almost all of August this year.

I stayed overnight on the Hornet carrier in Alameda when I was in the Scouts, also that mothball fleet (or what's left) in as you're heading thru Benecia/Martinez

I've spent time up in the Suisun Bay Reserve Fleet helping to scavenge engineroom parts for SS Jeremiah O'Brien, the WW2 cargo ship that is a museum near Fisherman's Wharf.  (Also helped steam the J. O'B. to Europe in 1994 for the 50th anniversary of the Normandy landings during WW2.)
