What do you personally think are the best and worst video game endings?

Best:

Fallout 3: Ultimate Good Karma Ending

Worst:

Mass Effect 3: Synthesis ending choice.

It's just downright evil.
Check Out Fan Fiction.

Best ending I've experienced, Final Fantasy 9, with honorable mention to Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

Worst, Red Dead Redemption. It felt, after all the work you put into the rest of the game, like a very hollow victory.
It's a thing.  It's like a plan, but with more greatness.

The ones for Mega Man 2 and Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link were really epic!

Both games I solved before I converted to Sega a few years later.

Best: Hitman: Blood Money Wow...just wow
Honorable Mention: Hitman: Absolution

Worst Ending: NASCAR '06: Total Team Control. I've done 21 seasons in Career Mode and it just NEVER stops.

Seriously though I'd say Truecrime: Streets of LA just fell flat for me.

Best: Alan Wake, Hitman: Blood Money, Batman Arkham City

Worst: I can't really think of any.

I might have to bump Red Dead Redemption up to my best, I enjoyed the game all the way through, and actually getting, no pun intended, redemption for your family was great for me.

My worst still has to be Truecrime: Streets of LA. The ending just felt so boring dull and like a wasted all my time playing it.

There's the Dance Party ending for Saint's Row 4 that was very enjoyable

I hated that ending. It was just so hollow for me after everything you went through to get there.  Jack did exactly what John didn't want him to do.

In a way I can understand that, but I think also at the end of the game Jack really had no choice but to get revenge for his dad. Yeah he now followed in his footsteps, something John didn't want him to do, but it made sense to me. After all, how else do you end a game like that?

I don't know, but it was a great game, for me, up to that point.
