Cold Warriors

Has anyone else thought the episode "Cold Warriors", was uncannily similar to a comic from almost 10 years before? The comic in question is #11, "A Cure for the Common Clod." They're both about Fry spreading a common cold.

I bet a lot of the comics are adaptable to full episodes, there's a few I'd've liked to see including the Jack the Ripper one

I'd make the argument that in situations like this, as much as the comics are beloved and wide-spread; a show will always overwrite it in terms of canon. This of course only refers to stories with the same type of plot. Though some others would argue that comics are never inherently canon anyway.

You just reminded me of a comic that messed with the canon-lore of nuclear wars, citing the Nuclear Civil War, but it's frustratingly at odds with Leela saying in the Xmas Story that it never happened. And both were said by Leela!
